About Us
Who are the Friends and what do they do?
The Friends of the Dothan Houston County Library System support the library system financially, through advocacy, and through volunteer services. Membership donations and book sale income are donated directly back to the library system for specific requests and operational expenses.
How does membership work?
A Friends membership is an annual contribution (January to December) that supports high-quality resources, programs, and services at our libraries.
Memberships also include book sale coupons! You can use these at the ongoing Friends sale areas at all our libraries and at the semiannual “BIG” book sales.
Most of all, as a member of the Friends of the Library, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping our local libraries do so many amazing things for our community.
